Demystified: A Half Square Triangle Quilt-NE Ohio

Let’s take the fear out of making half square triangles (HST). In this class you will learn six (6) different methods for making HST and when to use each. The best part is that no specialty rulers will be used. Yay!

You will receive information on each method as well as the pattern for the Demystified quilt

No Kit Fee! Pattern is included in the price of the class

Sewing Machines will be generously provided for students from BERNINA/ Chestnut Ridge Sewing

Shared Irons, Rotary cutters and mats will be provided.

Other Supplies Needed – please be sure to label all your supplies with your name

Demystified pattern – provided in class

• Fabric (please refer to cutting instructions in file below

• Straight Pins Scissors/Thread Snips/Seam Ripper (you never know)

• Marking Tool – mechanical pencil is fine, but do NOT use a Frixion pen **Whatever marking tool you choose, it must contrast with the fabric on which it will be used. That may necessitate bringing a couple different marking tools.

• Rotary Cutting Supplies Rulers - Long ruler (24”) and small ruler (at least 5” x 5”) a medium ruler (12” or 18” long) will be helpful I will have a variety of rulers in the classroom, but not enough for everyone to have their own

• Cutting Mats – there will be some in the classroom, but you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own Rotary Cutters – there will be some in the classroom, but you are welcome and encouraged to bring your own

• Pen, pencil and paper for taking notes
