Designing with Electric Quilt 8 (EQ8) Software

Do you have EQ8? Are you thinking about getting the quilt design software program to help you with your quilt ideas? Either way, this Lecture/Demo class will help you. You don’t need to have the program or a laptop for the class. Ann will demonstrate how to use the program for various designs and applications. You will leave with a complete pattern and the knowledge of how to change the fabric, adjust the block size, add sashing, add borders, and calculate yardage. Your handout will include an original pattern and all the steps that were demonstrated to create it.

After this class, you will be able to design your own quilts, recreate family heirlooms, recolor and adjust commercially available patterns, and preview color combinations before you commit to buying and cutting the expensive fabric.

No need to have the EQ-8 program or bring anything! Ann will demonstrate for the class, and if time permits, and give students a hands-on opportunity to try out the program to create their own block during class.
