Improv English Paper Piecing

Create a mug mat that is uniquely yours. Instruction will include designing your own block using straight lines or curves, basting options, invisible hand stitching and finishing.

Kit Fee-$5 kit per student includes printed handouts and template pages

Class Supplies:

1 sheet of medium weight card stock will be provided.

Fabric for piecing: Scraps, strips, pre-cuts or yardage. Solids and blenders work well.

Bring at least 6 different colors.

For finishing, you will need:

9” X 12” for backing

9” X 12” piece of batting

(1) 2.25” strip for binding

Hand-piecing needles: Milliners or straw needle, size 9 or 10

Piecing thread: I prefer Superior Bottom Line 60wt polyester

Fabric glue pen or washable glue stick

Scissors for paper, fabric and thread

Colored pencils (optional)

Kit fee can be prepaid with your ticket or paid in person the day of class
