Legit Kits: Bit O Flamingo

Explore the revolutionary Legit Kits foundation paper-piecing techniques.   Not sure about committing to a full project?  Start with the Bit O’ Flamingo block to experience the techniques and get a taste of the possibilities. With everything you need included in the kit—pattern, foundation papers, and fabrics—there’s minimal prep required for the class. Julie, a Legit Kits Certified Instructor, will guide you through organizing your kit, piecing your blocks, and assembling them into a stunning finished piece. Finished piece is 8" x 10" .Even if you’ve never tried foundation paper-piecing before, Julie’s expert tips and techniques will help you achieve a successful, beautiful result. By the end, you'll be ready to take on any Legit Kits project with confidence!  Come prepared to sew, learn, and leave with valuable skills you can apply to all your quilting projects.

• Legit Kits Pattern and Fabrics Kit –  $20 payable with class registration

• Add-A-Quarter Ruler• Flower head pins or similar – these larger pins are for organizing your sewing efficiently

• Fine piecing pins – for precisely matching seams• Fabric Scissors AND Paper Scissors

• Cutting Mat (at least 12” x 18”) & Rotary Cutter (new blade suggested)

• A 6”x 12” Ruler – for trimming up blocks after assembly

• Sewing machine, neutral thread and bobbins, open-toe or standard foot AND your ¼” foot

• General sewing kit – scissors, pins, seam ripper, machine needles, extension cord, comfy cushion for your chair, chocolate, etc.
