About the event
Tudor Rose Potholder: Machine Reverse Applique with Added Dimension
Join the fun! Be empowered! Our charming Tudor Rose pattern comes alive with depth and dimension when machine reverse appliqued with dimensional appliqué and under- coloring. And faster still with our unique Appli- quilting method...stitching and quilting in one step! Originally designed as a mug rug, we will easily transform the Tudor Rose into an elegant Potholder for your daily use. You will learn our quick and easy steps in Eye of the Beholder’s signature trace, snip, iron and stitch process. When you add the batting, Insul- Bright & backing before stitching to Appli -quilt, you are finished in record time. You will get pointers on how to successfully satin stitch appliqué, giving you crisp points and graceful curves. See the dimensional magic of the Tudor Rose Potholder (8” x 8”) revealed as you stitch.
Creative idea: if you carefully cut out your flower shape, you can make an applique version, too; two Potholders for the cutting labor of one. You just need extra background, backing fabrics and batting.
